This old bathroom had a very unique feature: an original terrazzo floor. Unfortunately, the terrazzo was badly cracked and falling through the floor. New framing, subflooring, and cement base were poured. Then we replicated the terrazzo with marble chips and Portland cement. The flavor of the bath was returned to its 1912 vintage with beaded board, plate rack, salvaged medicine cabinet, sink, lighting, leaded glass windows and the luxury of Italian marble for the shower.
This showcase bathroom is the picture of historic beauty. The floor is a gorgeous black & white marble basket-weave pattern; it evokes both history and luxury. The stained glass window is a reclaimed transom that the homeowners selected from our inventory of re-claimed Ohio windows and is a gorgeous pastel fleur de lys. The clawfoot tub is original to the house and has been refinished in white and decked out with a high-end shower spray and ring. A beautiful restored heart of pine medicine cabinet, beaded board and chair-rail, a period style chrome light fixture, and a white furniture-style vanity topped with black granite complete the picture.
