Ravaged by fire, this kitchen had smoke damage as well as design issues. We expanded the space by adding structural LVL beams and installed salvaged heart of pine floors in the new addition for a seamless look. We designed and installed these custom cabinets to match the period of the home, while providing ample storage and modern amenities like creamy St. Cecelia granite and stainless appliances. The cabinets were built from alder and stained a mahogany color. The kitchen features flush inset doors and drawers, chamfered feet, a wine rack, a roomy island for eating, a trash compactor, wine rack, glass doors, and antique pulls and latches. The backsplash is a fossil stone that has fern fossils throughout.
