This custom cherry and black granite kitchen was created from two kitchens. For some reason, the previous occupants had two kitchens and a mason enclosed the cabinets in brick.
After a complete gut job, the original white pine floors were exposed and refinished. A dishwasher hides behind cherry panels and an original beaded board pantry was preserved. The cherry island is topped with Elberton, GA white marble, a highly crystallized marble, similar in composition to granite. Brick pattern multi-colored slate backsplash and Italian Murano glass pendant lights finish off the look.
