This gorgeous kitchen began life as a screened-in porch and then we enclosed it, added pendant lights, skylights, hardwood floors and custom cabinets.
The island top was crafted from 160 year old beams. The counters are a gorgeous honed white granite that resembled carrara marble.
We designed a beverage center with a gorgeous backsplash. The cabinets feature furniture look legs, flush inset drawers and doors, bin pulls and are solid wood construction with full extension drawers.
The pendant lights are crafted from antique Ball Jars. We framed a spot on the wall and painted it with chalkboard paint. The sumptuous island was distressed and painted black and topped with the most gorgeous heart of pine. Note the walnut butterfly mortise. We celebrate the details.
The overall feel of this kitchen is one of timelessness with a nod to the airy light space of the beach. Stone subway tiles, iridescent glass accents and white and grey granite counters bring the outdoors in and anchor the space. The mix of natural materials: stone, wood, glass and light, strike the perfect balance.
